No more paci

We have been so busy I failed to mention that it has been 4 weeks now since I broke you from your paci! You did great. I cut the nipple part a little at a time for 4 days and then you didn't want it any longer. You ask for it still if you fall or get hurt, but when we tell you it broke you are fine and forget about it again.

I am so proud of you. I was thinking you were going to be really hard to get it away, but you proved me wrong!!!

You are growing up way too fast for me biddle:)

It's that time again...

Rhea Lana time that is! I promise I will catch up on your blog as soon as it is over!! I have been working on the West Little Rock sale for a little over 3 weeks now and today is drop off day. Thank goodness! Our house looked like a toy/baby store got sick in it for 3 weeks now! I love Rhea Lana's because of the extra money we make, but it is VERY time consuming.

So maybe next week things will be a little slower around our house and I can catch up on everything we have done in the past few weeks:)

Yucky tummy bug

Well we caught the bug that has been going around. Mommy had it from Friday-Yesterday and then late last night you and Mi Mi got it. It is the longest lasting bug I have ever had.

I hope it does not last so long on either of you. I hate when you are sick:(

It's potty time!!!!!

I started potty training you on 8.5.09 and you went in the potty the very first time!! I did not want to push you, but wanted to see if you were serious about wanting to use the big girl potty.

You have started waking up dry every morning after a whole nights sleep. So we talked about it and you were very excited about the thought of your very own potty.

You have done so great!! You went in the potty 1-2 times everyday for 5 straight days. Then we forgot to take it to Mi Mi's house with us:) Once we got back home you started right back up using your potty though!!

You get a sticker for your chart and a piece of candy of your choosing when you go. I told you after 5 stickers you get to go to the playground!

P.S. You do not want to get your potty "dirty" though by poo pooing in it!!!

You are still going in your diaper a little and then telling me, but overall you have done wonderful to have just began! I am so proud of you.

You are getting too big way too fast for me:)

P.S. You had your potty in the living room the first day so you would not have to run as far to use it!!

Big girl pony

Your hair is getting so long Daddy wanted to see what it would look like in a big girl pony. So one morning I practiced putting it all up so we could show him after he got home from work.

It looked really cute and made you look so different to Mommy and Mi Mi.

You did NOT like it!!! It is still so thin that a lot of hair fell out and into your face. So we will have to wait a little longer for it to grow thicker and try again.

You did say you looked pretty, but you just didnt like it in your face.

Talking to Paw Paw

I dont know what it is about going to Mi Mi and Paw Paw's house, but I feel closer to Paw Paw there.

I have a habit of going outside and just talking to him while we are there. So on Sunday before coming home I went outside and you wanted to go too.

I sat in the chair on the porch and you asked what I was doing...I told you I was talking to Paw Paw. So you took off into the yard, looked up at the sky and started talking to him too. It was the sweetest thing and totally melted my heart. I started crying just thinking of how much I know you made Paw Paw smile in Heaven.

I try and remind myself that when I feel I am forgetting what he smelled like, what he sounded like and some things he did that he is never far away.

We still talk about him in pictures and you still give his pictures kisses all of the time. I just always want you to know who he was and never feel like you dont have a Paw Paw.

Your 1st tent

When I was a kid I loved for Mi Mi to make a tent from a blanket and 2 chairs.

Sunday night you acted a little bored, so I thought it was time for you to have a tent of your own.

Wow oh Wow!! The trick still works. You were so impressed by the tent you played in it for 2 days!!!

How amazing it is to me that kids are so happy with the most inexpensive "toys" that can be made!!

Just goes to show you that the best things in life are free, or are created at home:)

Happy Birthday Mi Mi!!

Today is Mi Mi's 56th birthday. We celebrated on Saturday by having a birthday party/ family reunion for her side of the family.

We had a nice time with 32 in attendance. These are some of the pictures that were taken.

Just gorgeous

I took these pictures Sunday morning for Mi Mi as a surprise for her birthday. You of course are my favorite subject to photograph. You loved being in the trees!!

I know there are a lot, but I love how natural and childlike you look in these.

I think they really turned out beautiful!
